How do I enrol onto a course?

1.  You may enquire any time on any of our courses by using the contact form at the bottom of any web page.
2.  You can book your course via our online shop either paying in full or paying and initial deposit prior to setting up a 0% payment plan. An email with be received for you to then set up your individual payment plan. 
3.  Once an initial payment has been received you will receive learner welcome and induction information for your course. You will then need to provide additional information by completing pre-course screening information including health and medical, pre-activity and agreement to polices and procedures.
4.  Once we have received your pre-course information we will then send your learning resources including your E-learning platform details, Learner Assessment Record (LAR) and course electronic manuals for you to start your learning at least 2 week prior to the start of your course. 
5.  We will then register you with our awarding body YMCA Awards to complete your registration. 
6.  Your learning then commences prior to attendance to your first practical workshop.   

 Can I spread the cost of the course using a payment plan?

You have the option to pay for your course in full or pay an initial deposit and set up a 0% payment plan option. The payment plan are agreed between yourselves and us with it set up using a direct debit payment solution called GoCardless. Once an initial deposit has been received you will receive an email from us with 24 hours to then allow you to set up your payment plan. The payment plan is interest free (0%) however if payments are late there is a 10% interest charge on that payment. All course fees using a payment plan must be paid in full before any certificates are released to you.

How does the Distance / E-Learning work?

Once enrolled onto your course you will be given access to your online learning material and learner assessment record (LAR) approximately within 48 hours. This allows you to start your distance learning from home. Our online learning platform hosts all of the necessary theory units, lessons and videos for your S course, with it fully equipped with a video technique library.

 What are the course prerequisites?

All learners are required to be a minimum of 16 years or older to start their studies on our Level 3 Diploma in Performance Massage Therapy. 

To access the Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy learners must have achieved their Level 3 qualification prior to enrolment. 

To access the Level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy and majority of PTE's CPD courses learners must have achieved their Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy prior to enrolment. 

What support does my personal tutor provide?

From initial enquiry, as you are working through your studies, and through to course completion your Personal Tutor is always there to support you. Your Personal Tutor will be in touch as soon as you enrol and will be at hand to support you through your studies, answer any questions, and give clarity on any part of the course.  They will also encourage you to start building the foundations for of a Performance Therapy business. 

Are your qualifications recognised to support employment?

All our qualifications are awarded by YMCA Awards, providing you with an internationally recognised qualification regulated by Ofqual who regulate qualifications, examinations and assessments in England. 

How are the courses assessed?

Once you have booked your course your Personal Tutor will provide you with a welcome email to discuss the individual assessments, assessments plan and any specific requirements. We make sure that there are no unnecessary barriers to your achievements and make reasonable adjustment as required. Typically our courses are assessed via a portfolio / case study of evidence, face to face / online practical assessments, written work sheets and online assessments.

What happens after I am qualified?

Once you are fully qualified we support you with your progression. Whether be next course or set up of a business. We will work with you to ensure you are up and running to start your business ensuring that you are actively marketing yourself correctly to start growing your client base. We understand fully that a lot of your questions may also come after you are qualified, whether you need business advice or help with specific clients. This is why we have set up the Performance Therapist community where you will continue to be able to engage with your Personal Tutor. In addition you will be provided job opportunities and work experience, chance to engage with other therapists in the community through discussion forums, discounted products, CPD courses, workshops and events. 

How do I obtain insurance?

Throughout and following the completion of your course your Personal Tutor will provide you with ongoing support with your business set up. Information on how to obtain the required necessary insurance to start providing sports performance and massage services to the public. Including the importance of insurance, insurance types and recommended organisations and options available.
