Teaching staff at Performance Therapy Education (PTE) regard your learning as their primary responsibility.
Your tutor’s aim is to help you achieve your learning goals and realise your aspirations. They will set an example in terms of high standards of professional behaviour and will support your learning in the following ways:
Teaching and Support Staff agree to:
- Be punctual, start and finish sessions at agreed times
- Encourage and welcome your opinions and contributions at all times
- Explain any relevant rules and requirements
- Make every reasonable effort to help and support you throughout the course
- Comply with PTE’s Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy at all times
- Give guidance and support throughout the course
As a student you will be agreeing to:
- Attend sessions on time, attend all sessions
- Follow agreed procedures if unable to attend
- Take personal responsibility for your own learning
- Complete assignments on time
- Ensure all work is your own and not copied from any course resources or another learner
- Participate in the programme
- Behave appropriately and responsibly during the course with regards for the safety and needs of other students, staff, and the course venue
- Inform staff of any health or medical conditions that may affect participation
- Inform staff of any difficulty relating to any part of the course so additional help can be arranged/agreed
- Comply with the PTE’s Equal Opportunity and Diversity Policy at all times
- Comply with Health & Safety procedure (Fire evacuation procedure, do not obstruct corridors & stairwells)
- Behave in line with the Code of Ethics
Any behaviour likely to cause offence or harm to others will not be tolerated including, without limitation:
- Offensive and/or racist language and behaviour
- Acting in an unsafe manner
- Harassment of others
- Damage or defacement of property
- Disruption to the work or recreation of others
- Bringing alcohol, cigarettes (including eCigarettes) or drugs into the learning environment
